Ask Brock!

This is an experimental section I've made, and from the response I've gotten, it seems like it's pretty popular!  I've hired Brock to write the replies for this section, so he's got his pen and paper ready to answer your questions!  Please remember that Brock and I are totally different people!!!   So please don't refer to me as Brock, ok?  Because I'm a girl!
Since he hasn't been talking for a while, I've told him to answer several additional questions, just to get the ball rolling...
HOW TO CONTACT BROCK

If you'd like to ask Brock a question, fill out my "Ask Brock" form, and I'll get him on it right away!  And please don't email me!!! I AM NOT BROCK, OK?!?  I'm letting him handle all this.

So without further ado, Brock, take over!

4/3/00-- Hey everyone!  Brock here, and I'm having a very busy day on the sunny shores of the Orange Islands!  I'm currently helping Professor Ivy with her pokemon research.   It's so beautiful over here.... er... for various reasons. *blush*

Sara asks:  "Why don't you ever open your eyes?"

Brock Says:
But they ARE open!

So V asks:  "Have you ever met Tracy Sketchit ?"

Brock Says:
Tracey Sketchit?  Hmmm... I wonder if that's the guy Professor Ivy was telling me about the other day.  He likes drawing pokemon and women, right?  Heh, I wouldn't be surprised if "drawing pokemon" might just be a cover-up for drawing girls but... I wouldn't know about those things. ^_~

SSJGoten asks: "Are you coming back? I hope so."

Brock Says:
Sometimes, I don't know.  I mean, everything about the Orange Islands are so wonderful that I'm amazed more and more everyday.  Professor Ivy's a great researcher, and to help her... *ahem*  well it's almost like a dream to me.  All the pokemon here are so incredible; it's really a place that I can learn a lot from.   Ash and Misty are probably the best friends I've ever had, but I have to admit... I wasn't following my dream by travelling with them.  I wasn't learning.  So... I made a hard decision and stuck with it.
... But who knows?  Maybe one day, when I'm finished learning all I can here, I'll come back to visit them and see how things are going.

Takashi asks:  "Hiya Brock-kun! Listen uh....What would you do if you were Zelgadiss from Slayers? I mean, Zelgadiss is pretty hot, but your the number one guy on my ""List of hotties"". Zel's in 2nd place."

Brock Says:
"List of hotties"? ... *blushes red* W-wow, I never knew girls thought of me that way... *shakes head quickly in embarrasment* Er, but as I was going to ask, who's Zelgadiss?  *Eji whispers in Brock's ear* Oh...
Hm, well this Zel sounds like an easily depressed kind of guy.  He's had a hard time with girls, and believe me, I can relate to him about that, but I think his approach is all wrong.  If I were Zelgadiss, I would probably act the same way I do now.   I'd look at each new situation with a positive attitude, and if I didn't have any luck with a girl, well I'd pick myself up and try again, like I've done again and again.   I mean, you can only strike out so many times... right?

pkmn_chick247 asks: "What do you think about TM's? Should trainers decide what attacks the pokemon has, or let the pokemon learn what comes naturally to it?

Brock Says:
Well, I think TMs have both good and bad points.  If a trainer owns a well-rounded pokemon, and could benefit from a new move or two, then I think it would be a great idea.   But, if a trainer hasn't brought up his or her pokemon very well and thinks a TM can fix his or her bad training, then I wouldn't agree with it.  Ideally, though, a pokemon doesn't really NEED a TM-- the pokemon will develop the right moves based on the trainer's abilities in bringing out the BEST in a pokemon.

golem76 asks:  "Brock why do you have rock Pokemon"

Brock Says:
Rock pokemon?  Well, everyone has their own pokemon preference, but there's just something about rock pokemon that I feel connected to.  The harsh power and granite honest quality of rock.  Sounds deep, doesn't it?  To me, rock pokemon represent strength, endurance and reliability, qualities that I would like to think that I have, too.  It's a bit like owning a dog for some people-- pokemon can reflect their owner's attitudes and personalities.  I'd like to think that I can relate to my rock pokemon for that very same reason.

Maia asks: "What goes into the food you feed your pokemon? They seem to love it..."

Brock Says:
Ah, my pokemon food.  I've spent many years of my life developing my food from experience-- watching and learning what pokemon in the wild eat the most, in what quantities, and how often.  For that, and from tending to my own pokemon, I was able to make a blend that is a universal pokemon feed.  I haven't seen one pokemon yet who hasn't liked it, and I'm always making small adjustments to the recipe to match changes in seasons and other environmental variables.  But what's IN it, you might ask? Well.. *taps pocket holding recipe* sorry, but that's my little secret.. ^_~
